I recently changed jobs to pursue a career path that is more fulfilling and enjoyable.  The compensation is slightly more than what I was paid before but the benefits are a bit less appealing to me.  This particular employer does not offer the Florida group health insurance plans that my previous company did.  The only plan they have is an HMO and I have always preferred working with a PPO plan because it best meets my needs at this stage of my life.

Just out of curiosity, I checked to see what the cost would be if I acquired my own individual Florida health insurance.  To my surprise the premium was comparable to what my employer was asking me to pay.  Therefore, I decided to compare rates online and initiate my own coverage.  It was really easy to get it started and all of the information I needed to make an educated decision was available right on the website.

I never realized I could acquire individual Fl health insurance for such a reasonable price. 

It didn’t seem to make much sense to purchase coverage from my employer when I could pay nearly the same amount for the coverage I really wanted.
