I have finally immersed myself in a hobby that I’d been wanting to try for a long time: photography. I am not that great at it yet but I’m getting better and better every day. More importantly, I’m having a lot of fun with it. I enjoy taking pictures of just about everything around me but I’ve particularly fallen in love with capturing images of the many beautiful yards in my neighborhood.

There is one house in particular that I keep going back to so that I can practice my photography there. It has a gorgeous outdoor garden wall fountain right in the front yard. I’ve always been drawn to outdoor garden wall fountains and this one is particularly detailed. I’ve been working on trying to capture that detail with different lighting and settings on my camera.

As I’ve been doing this, I’ve noticed that there are a lot of other neat features in the yard that I’m interested in photographing. The fencing on the side of the yard is really cool. And I like the way that the light hits the roof at a certain time of day. I never noticed these things until I started playing around with my camera in the yard. This hobby has done more for my life than I would’ve thought!
