I was working on some graphic design in Birmingham, England last summer.  It’s quite lovely, but I still got homesick for the good old USA.  Funny the things that you miss.  Mainly tacos and corn, for some reason.  But I do love a lot of history, so I got to travel around and learn a whole lot.

This was especially good for me since I’m a drama teacher in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.  I teach some Shakespeare, therefore, and so getting a lot of information was not only good for me, it was fun for me.  But I ran into a new marketing idea, too, that got me thinking about how I can advertise my plays.

It’s a business strategy that has to do with you product popping up when people do internet searches.  In addition, there are companies that give you other business strategies as well, and I found myself wishing that there was some way that I could tap into their knowledge in order to get my show dates out to the public.  I’m a business, too, really.  But I don’t know how to accomplish it all, and I can’t afford to pay a company because I’m just a small program in a public school.  I wish there was some sort of forum to help people like me.
