The mediation approach is a new one to me but something that I have been considering as well. Divorce is not cheap, either in court costs or in settlement and the easier it can be done the better for all concerned.

I have heard nothing but praise for these people and how their service works. Anything has to be better than the cold environment of a courtroom with total strangers making decisions that effect the rest of your life.

The communications part of it is the most important in my opinion, especially if there are children involved. Even if the marraige is ending, your ex will still be in your life.

Divorce can be very cruel to the parties involved or it can be more humane all depending on how it is approached. That is what makes the mediation process so useful, the fact they approach it without the spite.

The key words to your statements are “divorce is difficult” and if you have ever been through one you know that it is true. That is why mediation is the best approach to working out a difficult problem.
