There are a great many ways that you can earn money online, but many of them require a lot of involvement — for instance, your typical ecommerce business requires that you store stock, ship orders, etc.

If you are looking for an online business that is comparitively easy to run, here are a few ideas for you.  Most likely you won’t get rich on any of these business ideas, but on the flip side, they also require little enough time that you can do them on the side of your regular job.

• Blog.  If you pick a niche topic that turns out to be pretty popular, or if your blog attracts a strong enough following, you could actually end up commanding some pretty decent prices for the ads you display on your blog.  For instance, if you have a popular blog about empowering people with disabilities, you might find that companies selling equipment such as wheelchair lifts are willing to pay good money for premium ad space on your blog.
• Sell affiliate products.  While an ecommerce business that you run yourself might involve a lot of work, selling products via affiliate links actually requires very little work.  You could have an entire store set up on your website, where the merchandise is comprised entirely of affiliate products.  For each product you sell, you get a small commission, without having to take orders or ship anything — the orders go directly to the affiliate company.  For instance, you might sell lift chair recliners via an affiliate agreement, without the hassle of having to send products to the customers yourself.

Like I said, neither of these business ideas are going to make you  rich overnight — but with dedication and the right niche, they could make you a tidy side income!
